With seventy-nine trails, eleven lifts, and a 2,100 ft. vertical drop, Gore Mountain is one of the premiere ski resorts on the East Coast and is less than10 minutes down the road from Skarbek's Cabin. Whiteface Mountain is less than 1 hour away.

Cross Country Skiing/Snowshoeing
In addition to the miles of trails around the Cabin, Garnet Hill Cross Country Ski Center is 15 minutes away and is rated one of the top 10 cross country centers in the country. There are 55 KM of groomed trails and at a 2,000 ft. elevation, Garnet Hill receives an abundance of natural snowfall.
